I'm having trouble with my washer not being able to wash or rinse in cold water. Any info on parts and/or repair would be very much appreciated.

Turn the water off and remove the cold-water hose from the washer side. Look to see if there is a screen inside the hose (it may be on the other end) if so clean it out. Once done point the hose into the washer and turn the water on if you have good water flow reattach the hose, turn the water back on and try the cold water. If you still do not have cold water replace the water valve. Clothes Washer Repair Guide

Note that there is usually a filter screen built into the input side of the cold water valve itself. If dirty clean it, do not remove it as it is there to keep crud out of the valve. Crud could hold the valve open and cause a flood. |
