Murray here, i am working on a whirlpool top loader , not D/D ,it fills ,agitates+spins, but does not drain, i removed wiring harness P5 at motor control board+checked for coninuity across red+white 11 ohms, yel+white, 11 ohms, rd+yel 22ohms+ checked same at motor and got same, wiring harness is good. i would deduce motor control board is faulty. i also removed pump from motor +tested without pump on, no go. i tried it with extended spin . it spins but no drain ,thanks

Sounds like you have the tech sheet and have done the troubleshooting. I would do one more winding test measuring the windings to the machine frame just to be sure nothing is grounded.
If they all measure open then I agree with you that the board is next.

You may want to order from AppliancePartsPros since you have done the troubleshooting they will allow you to return the board if it does not fix your problem. Most places do not allow electronic parts return.
See their return policy.
