loud noise
Model Number: mah55flbww Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
This front loader makes a loud noise when it is spenning out. A REPAIR MAN told us the whole tub would have to be changed. He said the bearing was bad, and that this was a common problem with this modle. does this have to be done or can I replace the berings myself without a lot of trouble. I do have years of sewing machine repair under my belt. thanks carl

It's a bunch of work, regardless of which way you do it; but there is a waqy to just replace the bearing. I believe there is a youtube video or two on the subject.
