Will not agitate with out playing with the timer knob. Makes no noise. Pumps and spins ok. Will no agitate in any cycle mode. jhdr

Ifyou are saying you can get it to agitate mode by playing with the timer, then you should start by replacing the timer.
There may be more than one timer for that model, so call in the order to APP if you want to use them and have both your model number and serial number handy.
If the timer does not fix things you can return it, see the returns policy for conditions and details.
