ice maker won,t change from crushed to cubed. it remains on crushed. the little window behind the ice holder has a bar that won,t stay down when i pullit down. i thought someone told me to use a hair dryer to unfreeze please advise

Can you hear the solenoid (#45D on the diagram) click when you chose cubed ice and push the ice release lever?

If not, check the solenoid for continuity.
