The ice maker stopped working. We change the water filter regularly and flush the water as recommended. I tried replacing the ice maker itself with a brand new unit, but that didn't work. I was not able to jump the old unit or the new one that I installed and I don't have 120 volts between L & N. When I shut power to the refrigerator to reset the optics I get a steady red light light. The red light only stays steady for a little while. If I go back to it ten minutes later it's out again. Thinking it is a water supply problem I tried switching the wires between the water dispenser and the ice maker solenoids and depressed the water switch on the door. That was successful in getting water to the ice maker. I tried testing the ice maker with a meter and jumping the unit. I was not able to jump the old unit or the new one that I installed to cycle and I don't have 120 volts between L & N. Is the newly installed ice maker defective or do I need to look at other parts?
