The fridge just stopped cooling in the last 24 hrs. There is no frost on evap coils. Cond coils are clean. Evap and cond fans are running. The compressor is very warm, but I dont think its running. I can hear a periodic click which may me the start relay (switch). At some point in the last 24 hrs it did get cool (so I think the pressures are OK) again but now is back to no cold air at evaporator.

Hi. Unplug the fridge, cool down the compressor, remove the old start components. Using the multimeter check continuity between three compressor pins and then from one of the pins to the ground. If you have continuity between all three pins and no continuity to the ground - replace the start devise Part number: 8201786
|

Thanks Simon,
As you say there is continuity between all 3 motor terminals and none to ground. I had ordered the start device and the capacitor. I don't need the capacitor??
