Apologies for not having the model number (I'm not with the washer right now, and will include it later today), but it may not matter in relation to this situation. It's a Kenmore Elite toploader, about 6-7 yrs old.

Last night, washer kept going through all timer cycles without stopping, (fill, agitate, drain, rinse, spin for normal, perm press, delicates, etc).

This morning, when set to run normally, the washer now immediately starts agitating without filling.

Does this sound like a timer issue?

Thanks very much for any insights!

Regards,
Patrick

After getting 50+ views and no responses whatsoever (thanks! :( ) I went ahead and bought a timer, had it overnighted, and installed it myself today. Washer is back to normal once again.

Hardest part was figuring out how to get the control panel detached...on the Kenmore 110 series, it's a clip on the bottom of the endpiece, that needs to be pushed toward the back of the washer with a putty knife or similar flat/rigid item.

Also, instructions for removing the timer knob are actually on the back of the timer, which was helpful as I wasn't seeing them online.
