Dishwasher almost always has an inch or so at the bottom of it, and seems to fill itself over time. New user here, so maybe someone out there could offer a suggestion, please. Even when I don't run it, or use any water in the kitchen, it seems to still take on water.

Sounds like your water valve is leaking.

A model number may help others help you
