I just replaced the two way water valve on my Maytag frig because i was not getting any water to the ice maker. I had the water shut off to the frig for 3wks while waiting for a new inline filter.
While the water was turned off my son lowered the ice shutoff bar because i had emptied the ice tray. He was not aware that the water to the ice maker was off. I was not aware that he had lowered the bar. So, after installing the new filter, and flushing it out, the water dispenser worked normal. But, the ice maker would not make ice.
I assumed that the ice maker soleniod had burned out, therefore, I installed a new water valve. The problem is I'm still not getting water into the ice maker, only the water dispenser.
What am I missing?

I have a similar problem with Maytag MTB2154DRW and what I found was that my grommet fill tube was totally frozen, (iced up)......I have it a part now and I suspect I need to put on fresh silicon lubricant over the tube to help keep it from freezing up. just my thoughts.
