My daughter went to get some water the other night and it did not shut off. It has a membrane covered button to press for both ice and water. I am guessing I need to replace the water valve in the lower back right hand side of the fridge (if you are facing the back) but did not want to spend the money until I had a better idea of the fix. Ever hear that one before?

when you push your cup to that covered button you will hear a click of some sort to activate the water valve - as long as you hear that button 'unclick' after you remove your cup i think its safe to say your water valve is bad. you'll just want to make sure that switch isnt sticking open (most likely the water valve though)
