Hello,

I have an intermittent problem with this dryer. I recently replaced the timer - thinking that was the problem. The motor runs, the igniter works, but the burner doesn't always (lately not at all) work.

I replaced the timer as I noticed it would sometimes dry the clothes, but the tumbler would keep going and the timer would never move beyond its original setting. Now I can't get the burner to turn on - on any of the cycles. Is it the coils?

Any help would be appreciated, before I buy more parts that don't need to be replaced. Thank you!

Update: I replaced the gas valve coils and the dryer now has heat. The new problem is that the timer, when in the regular cycle, does not move beyond its original setting, and therefore I have to open the door before the clothes get too hot. I did not test the perm-press or timed cycle options. The timer is brand new, so I'll assume that it's not related to the timer at this point.

Any ideas on the cause? A faulty Cycling Thermostat or High-Limit Thermostat seem to be the only things left.

Thanks
