My microwave makes a louder than normal hum when started. The microwave does not heat any item. There is also a distinct odor of burnining insulation (wire?). Sounds as if the Mag is gone but do not see any indicators of arcing.

Sent this to soon. Diode shows no continuity in either direction (dead)(good VOM with new battery) and the Mag show 37 ohms to case from either terminal and continuity between the terminals. Can not find a listing for the diode(WB08K5050) on this site and Sears says discontinued. Anyone have a sub part.
