Half way through the shortest (energy saving) cycle the water that resides in the tub does not drain when it's suppsed to. Twice I have had to shut off the water main because even opening the door does not stop the water from entering the washer from the side valve. This of course then spills out onto the floor. Once I turn the water main back on no more water is pumped in and if I advance to the end of the cycle the remaining water does get pumped out as it should so it appears the hose isn't clogged and the pump works. Thanks.

If it agitates when full, you probably have a stuck water solenoid. Also, your model# needs to be checked.
