Dryer was running, I opened door to check on load. When I tried to restart the motor just hums when I turn the start knob. I checked the voltage where the pig tail connects to the dryer and have 110 volts on each leg. I removed the belt and the same thing the motor just hums.

I had this same thing happen to me not long ago. First with the drum empty,(belt attached) door switch closed put the timer on a cycle and push start then try giving the drum a spin by hand (being careful of course) if it starts and then will spin you probably have a bad armature and need a new motor. If it still won't start with the push by hand check the voltage across the heating element, if it is 240 you have a bad motor. Hope that helps. BC

Dang it!
I'm having the same deal, only with a Whirlpool Estate.
I've checked all the wiring for burns and all the fuses are working.
Of course it'll be the hardest part to replace.

Very likely the motor gone bad. For more accurate advise we need the complete model number of the dryer.
