I have a whirlpool washer newer, with an agitator post, top load. It all works fine except it won't spin. It will agitate on gentle but not on heavy. Does this sound like a capacitor problem or a control board problem? I did the tests on the manual diagnotic instructions to find out exactly what it would and wouldn't do. I have already replaced the shift actuator. Also it won't do the reset calibration, it lights up and starts for a second then shuts down. Any ideas? Thanks, Mary Wells

If the model number of your appliance could be provided, this will allow the most accurate information to be presented.
