Whirlpool Model# WOS51EC7AS
Oven just stopped working. All digital controls went dark. No beeps, no lights, no heating. Oven is about 11 years old. Tested with multimeter and there is 240 volts where the wires connect to the oven so it's not the breaker. Thermal fuse looks fine with no breaks. I'm thinking maybe control board but that's an expensive guess. Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated!

The main oven control would need to be tested for 120VAAC from the black wire to the white wire at connection P6. If 120VAC is present, the main control has failed and would need to be replaced.

Thank you, William. Pardon the ignorance, but should I be able to touch my multimiter probes to the little silver parts on the back of the connector to get the reading? ( see pic here). The wires are firmly seated in the connector and I fear I'm going to break something if I pull too hard. Is there a trick to getting them to release?

The meter probes can be placed at the silver parts. As long as a meter probe is touching the metal attached to the wire, the reading will come through properly.

There is a thermostat WP4449751 on the back of the range that may have failed. With the power cord unplugged, the thermostat can be tested for continuity. If it does not have continuity, it would need to be replaced. However, if this is the case, it would also be recommended that the elements be tested for continuity to ground to identify if one may be grounded and overheating.
