I have a GE top load washer that uses part WH45X20473 / AP5806977 for the outer tub assembly and part WH02X10383 / AP5645738 for the tub seal. I successfully swapped the tub assembly but the new seal keeps popping out of position. Not good because it would allow leaking. Any suggestions for how to keep it in place? Waterproof ATV sealant was one suggestion, but how do I keep it in place while the sealant cures? It takes at least an hour to cure and the seal works itself out within a few minutes.
