0)Short of marking the new top of the knob with tape or a sharpie is there a good way to rotate the knob so it looks like it is off when it is off and not on.

Whirlpool no longer makes the W10917219. The replacement is rotated by 90 degrees from the ideal position. The knobs have D shaped holes.

1)Can the knob be disassembed rotated and put back? The screw heads have glue on top?

2) Is it easy/feasible to rotate the inside electronics by 90 degrees?

3) Are there other parts that would fit?

4) Fourth option is to buy a universal kit that you glue together.

All these options are not good. Any recommendations?
