I have an electric GE glass top stove, model JS750SF3SS. The small burner on the triple haliant element (right front) does not come on. I am trying to decide if it is the switch or the burner element that is bad. The infinite switch, part number AP6039285/WB24X26408, has the following terminals: L1 (black), L2 (red), H1/H1A (blue wire jumped to H1B (blue-yellow stripe), H3 (purple), H2 (blue-white stripe), HC (blue) and P (yellow). I want to do a continuity test with a multimeter to verify that the switch is good. With the switch closed I believe I should get continuity between L1 and H1/H1A; L1 and H1B; L2 and H2. Is this correct? Which terminal(s) should show continuity with H3 and HC?
