Help! My Kenmore dryer was ruining clothes because they got caught on the lint screen housing. I took that off and ordered a replacement for it. I vacuumed out excess lint from underneath and then installed it successfully, though it was a bit cramped and difficult. Now the lint screen won't fit down into the housing because it measures 11 5/8" while the housing is exactly 11 inches wide. Can anyone tell me what to do now? the lint screen sticks up too far and I know it's going to snag more clothes and ruin them as well.
