Hello, we have a 13 year old 36 inch GE Monogram built in freezer that is not cold enough and was told by GE repair that the temp. control was bad. Problem is you can't find a replacement. I can't believe GE makes you buy a 6000.00 replacement for a 75.00 part that it no longer produces. Any help would be appreciated such as another part number that would work.

You could go with something like the Supco SC1002. It could be mounted on the wall if you can't find a replacement.
