Evaporator coil seems to be working sometimes. When I remove the backing, and force compressor start, the coils get frosty. The coils stop working after a while.
Not sure if the compressor is getting too hot or tapping out.

Here is what I tested:
Compressor fan running smoothly
Tested Freezer thermidor in ice water and room temperature Ohms came back with right readings.
Tested Thermostat for defrost at freezing temperature and circuit was complete. Not a frosting issue but tested since I had it open.
Tested Start Capacitor with uf Micro Farad setting on Multimeter. Also Ohm and Voltage settings as well for good measure they all came back OK.
All seals and gaskets are good

I don't think there is a refrigerant leak; but if there were is there a diy method of knowing?
I am at a loss for words and ideas at this point. Looking to this community to see if there is anything I may have missed or should try.

Thanks in advance!
