Bleach or fabric softner will not dispense. I have ensured outlets are all clear of buildup. I removed the top panel and observed action through wash cycle. On what should be bleach cycle and what should be the fabric softner rinse, it appears the water just trickles in vs. a rush. It's like a valve is only partially opening. Any ideas on what repair may be.

It might be gunk clogging up the inlet screen or it could be a bad water valve.

Parts 1 and 2 on this diagram. The single valve is the hot water one. The dual valve is cold.

Thanks. I did check the inlet water screens and they were fine. We are on municipal water so did not expect clogs. The hot water valve is the one trickling at that rinse but that makes sense (hot would not be on for that rinse). So is most likely the cold valve. Is it possible that one side of the dual not be working? I ask because when dispensing detergent is not issue at all.

Yes, you could have one side of the valve bad. Their are two coils on the dual valve and two outlets, so one coil could be bad or one side could be plugged up.

That's what I think you have. One side of your cold water valve is partially plugged up inside. If you saw how tight the tolerances were inside the valve, you would realize it doesn't take much to stop them from working right.

And yet its usually one of the most durable parts on the machine.

On this picture the gray parts are the solenoid coils. The blue part contains the inlet and outlets of the valve.

Thank you! I will pull the valve and check for plugging. If none apparent, will just replace the valve. You have been a great help!

Those valves are sealed at the factory, so your best bet is to replace it. Good Luck. :)
