the machine will fill with water but will not wash the clothes . I have replaced the door safety lid switch?

yes the aggitater will work but turns freely

I had a similar issue which wound up being a broken/frayed wire down by the drive motor. Check to see if you are receiving power to the motor via the wire harness.
