I have a whirlpool gold washer. It works fine on all the cycles except the final spin. Once in awhile it will spin out completely. Most the time it won't. If I open it up and remove a bunch of clothes, rearrange them and or help get the drum spin it will spin out. Sometimes if I hold the agitator it'll start spinning. Any ideas of what it is? I have a few of what it could be but maybe someone knows the exact problem. I'd like to be able to order the parts so we're not completely out of a washer for a week

I just replaced the coupler last year FYI

I am assuming this is a basic Whirlpool top loader as you did not post a model number, in which case the clutch lining is the most likely suspect here. If you are skilled enough to change out the coupling you can change the clutch lining, and just look up the part here and you should see a pretty good video.
