We have a Samsung French door refrigerator/freezer that the ice chute flapper on the front dispenser doesn't close...but hangs open. I believe the solenoid is OK. My problem is getting the dispenser unit removed to replace the broken or detached spring that holds the flapper in the closed position when not in operation. I've looked at the service manual for this model, but I don't believe it is correct (saying I need to push the unit up and to the right). The unit is mounted flush to the door and that is not possible. The inside top of the dispenser has a single screw on the right side and one slot nearby. I think after I remove the screw, I should be able to insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot...but I don't know what to do after that (push the screwdriver up, while pulling on the unit?). Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks...

I have the same issue as gtollberg. Anybody out there can offer some advice on how to get the flapper assembly out of the door?
