i have a kenmore washer and the cold water runs in with the door open or closed. with no alarm. i replaced a pressure sw #6601er1006e and that was not the trouble. do you got any more clues as what could be the trouble. could it be the control board. if so is it vary expensive

If water runs regardless of the machine being on or off it is often the water valve which is stuck in the open position. Try checking it out before you do anything else. Also, your model number does not come up, so if you need more advice please check it.
