My machine is just over a year old. It showed a F08 E01 error. My husband followed the manual and checked all the lines and they were clear. After he touched the Power button twice , the washer went into a lock down. The "door locked" light keeps blinking but no other button control on the panel is lit or will respond. This model does not have access to the pump filter unless the front panel is removed and to do that we would have to open the door. The door won't open. Does anyone have a tech sheet for this model or know any other way to open the door or unfreeze the control panel? What was Whirlpool thinking???

The tech sheet should be inside the lower service panel or under the top panel which you can take off with screws in the back.
Once you have the lower service panel off you should be able to reach up inside and find a tab. Pull gently and that should release the door. The tech sheet should help you to trouble shoot it.
Good luck.

Good luck. Thank you. The service man arrived and you are right that is how he got to the door unlock. He took the top off as you said, it moves to the back. The tech sheet was there. Since this model does not have any lower service panel, one almost needs to know where and how to reach the tab as access to it was from the top. That service man was very agile. Apparently a part is malfunctioning and causing the machine to over fill. Thank you again for your reply.

Glad the tech was able to get it fixed, and thanks for the update.
