so I have a Maytag washer that works wonderfully and is 18 (!) years old and going strong...but I just accidentally sheared off the Select Wash/Rinse Water Temperature selector knob and stem ....is there any hope of finding this particular part anywhere ?? If not, I am sentenced to only having one selection of wash/rinse temperature.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Model # is LAT8624AAE
When I google this part, it says this part is no longer available but wondering if there might be an old maytag washer somewhere that might not need all its knobs.

If there is a used appliance store or repair shops that has a lot of machines lying around in your area they may be able to help you out.

Otherwise do a search on the internet for sites that specialize in discontinued appliance parts. There are several and one may have the part for you.
