1) Washer has recently begun to stall for 2-3 minute when switching between cycles. Opening lid and manually activating lid switch doe nothing. Wait and it will eventually kick into the next cycle.
2) Along with this, when the Spin cycle is over (and the knob is fully advanced to OFF) there is water left in the tub and everything is still soaked. Turn the knob around to the start of the Spin cycle and it runs and when finished everything is good.

I am thinking the timer is going bad. Any thoughts?

I agree. If you buy timer from APP and it doesn't fix the problem, you may return it.
