Hello,
We have a Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 electric oven.
(i'm not sure of the exact model #, I haven't got a chance to look at it closely yet)

Anyway, the top panel has the oven knob in the middle with the digital time/temperature display and each set of burner knobs on each side..

We've noticed that when you turn off the oven, using the center oven knob, you put it to the off position, the indicator light wants to stay lit up... or will blink a little, but if you jiggle the knob it finally go out and the oven will shut off

Well last nite, we were awakened with a beep noise
Here thinking we turned the oven off after supper, the knob was indeed in the off position, but the oven was still ON ... low heat .
So I jiggled the oven knob, and of course, the oven shut off.

Any ideas of what would cause this problem, and an estimate of what the part(s) would cost, and if it's something I could do myself?

I've used this forum before to fix our washer/dryer, and everyone was extremely helpful and I was able to get them fixed :) Hoping someone can shed some light on my oven issue now

Thanks in advance!
Aaron
