I have a GE Dryer Model # DBSR453EB2WW. The timer does not work in the auto mode or timed mode. I tested the time mode on the Fluff setting and it did not move for over 30 minutes. Are there other checks to make to confirm the problem before replacing the timer?

Check across the timer motor for 120 volts.
If you get 120 and the timer does not advance then it is toast.
