I disassembled our Kenmore HE4t with the intentions of replaceing the tub bearings. However upon inspection the inner tub spindle assembly or spider is cracked almost all the way around. Sears doesn't list it as a separate part and the on line parts house also only lists the entire drum as a replacement even though the spider can be removed.
Is there a compatable spider or spindle assembly from a similar kenmore that will fit and have the same size spindle?

The unit is made by Whirlpool.

I crossed referenced back to them but cannot find a separate spider anywhere.
Looks like you have to buy the tub.

Thanks for the look up Denman, I still can't beleive that the part is not sold individualy or an earlier version washer that used they same tub that has a separate spider available. I guess they want me to buy a new washer, well, it won't be a whirpool and or a sears product.

I do not know their reasoning here but it could be that the spider/tub has to be a finely balanced unit.

I also would be replacing the unit because of the cost of the part.
You could phone around to small businesses that sell used units they may be able to supply the tub. The problem here is that it may have the same problem that you have.

FYI: Sears does not actually make anything.
Below is a link that shows who makes what.
