I have a Whirlpool ED5KVEXVQ00 Side by Side refrigerator. The plastic bracket that holds the metal pin that the ice door chute rotates on is broken. Does the Whirlpool 8201756 kit fit my model? It seems to work for a handful of whirlpool models, but it doesn't look like it would work in mine. It looks like the entire plastic housing could be replaced, but I don't see anywhere that I can order that part. That repair kit will indeed work for your refrigerator. It comes with full installation instructions and is not difficult to install. I will caution you on one thing, though. Do not set the aluminum bracket in place until you have it exactly in place because once you stick it down, it will not come off! That kit is available at the link below.
