So my aunt gave me her fairly new washer to replace mine that was around 10 years old. She said it works great and was getting a new one because she was moving. It got here I hooked it up and everything seemed fine until it got done agitating. The washer would simply turn off, leaving the tub full of water. I can turn the nob to the spin cycle and it will drain that way, but it won't go to the spin cycle on it's own.

SO I'm not sure if it got damaged on the drive over here or I'm not doing something right. Help!

There are two tension clips between the top and front panels of the machine. Slide a putty knife between each clip and the front panel to release them and remove the front panel. In the very front, at the bottom, is the motor assembly. On the top of the motor is a metal cover. Below that cover, towards the right side of the board, is a flashing light. Can you please count the number of flashes between pauses and post that number?

SO I need to take the body off the washer and let it run without it to do this?

No, just remove the front panel and do not start the machine. Just count the number of flashes under that motor cover, please.

It continues to blink, no pauses. Unless that it considered a pause between the blinks.

Thank you! So the issue likely lies with the main machine control. Have you looked at all the connections in the control panel to see if there are any loose ones? Something may have come loose during transit.

Wouldn't that cause it to not drain at all?

Is that not what it is doing, shutting off before it drains?

Oh okay, but it just shuts off after it finishes agitating a wash load set to a regular cycle?
