Compressor is hot and not running. overload keeps kicking out. checked the windings seems good. Had weak cooling in freezer weeks before them stopped cooling altogether. Compressor shuttered kindof loud when cycling off in months before dying. Can this compressor still be bad even showing good OHMs test?

Ohms test will not show shorted turns, or burnt windings, best to use an amprobe with a new start device, yours might be burned open
