GE Profile purchased in "96. Had to adjust temp controls to the max to keep to 38-42 in frig and freezer acts like it wants to linger in defrost mode. ??? any recomendations

Remove the freezer back panel and describe the frost pattern, total, heavy frost, or partial.

thanks rich for your quick response..... Just like going to the dentist everything feels better...... I turned up the temp controls just a small bit and later the temps seem to be working ok...I gradually slipped the temp down to where it was at the onset of the problem and right now seems to be doing ok.. Should this begin to happen again i shall do as instructed by you and go from there....Again,,,thanks for your untimely response.............Weldrman
