My fridge stopped cooling.. I opened the freezer today and there is ice on the back panel. The thermostat is reading about 45 in the freezer and about 65/70 in the fridge. I replaced the defrost timer awhile back so that's brand new. Any ideas what could be the problem?

hi.

Open the rear evaporator cover in the freezer and locate the defrost thermostat. Most likely it's open. Use the multimeter to check it for continuity. Remember it should be ice cold when checked. Replace it if there is no continuity.

Post the results.

Thanks Simon.
I pulled off the rear panel and discovered it was completely bricked in with ice. I'll have to thaw it out first before I test it. I'll post the results soon.
