I have a fairly new Whirlpool dryer. It just quit working. I've already replaced the timer and start button. Still not working. It's not the plug in as we plugged the dryer into another plug. Still not working. Does anyone have any further ideas? (I just purchased a door switch and am waiting on the delivery to see if that is what the problem is)

Hi.

Need to have the model number. Open the door and look for a tag around the opening or the door itself.

Post the results.

Simon.

Hi.

Remove the cover of the dryer's back and check the thermal fuse
Part number: AP3132867
Part number: AP3132867

for continuity. If you don't have a meter install the temporary jumper across the fuse (unplug the dryer first).
If it's the fuse - replace it and check the entire air flow system for clogs.

Here are breakdown diagrams and Bulkhead parts for Whirlpool WED5300SQ0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.
