Washer fills and drains alright, but will not spin or agitate. I have bypassed the lid switch and the inline fuse. I have continuity from L1 and N to the motor, but the motor shaft will not turn even with the belt removed. I have tried other motors that will work on other machines but they will not run on this machine.

Note: I have replaced the main board with no help. This machine has a mode shifter as a transmission with two wires running to it. I'm not sure what they go to or do. Is it possible they go to a switch that is open and preventing the motor from receiving power form the inverter?

Make sure you are using the correct motor/inverter. There are about 5 different versions and they are not interchangeable. Did you place the model selector plug from the old control board onto the new one? The mode shifter connects to the inverter board and shifts between agitate and spin mode by operating a solenoid on the mode shifter. Check continuity of the 5 conductor control cable between the control board and inverter.

Back before God invented rocks there used to be a timer interchange list of Sears/Whirlpool washer timers that would swap with each other and work correctly. Does anyone perhaps know of a list of motor/inverter numbers that would interchange correctly?
