My ice maker is working like a champ, but the door dispenser stopped working.

Normally when I push the button on the door with a glass, I hear the ice maker churning and ice falls down the chute and into my glass.

Now I hear absolutely nothing. It is completely silent.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check the micro-switch in the dispenser for continuity

Thanks Rick. I can get to the switch, but how do you test for continuity? I can tell you that the water on the door still works, but not every time. Sometimes I need to push my glass against the lever several times to make the water come out. I will never come out. Should I just buy a new switch? How much do they cost? Thanks again.

Go to the top of this page and select the "Find Parts" tab then input your model number. Select freezer door sub menu.

I finally got around to this and the new switch didn't solve the issue. Same issue of no water & no ice being dispensed. Thoughts? Bad solenoid or bad board? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

No ice or water sounds like the user interface board part# WR55X10631

Thanks Rick. Any way to know if it is the main board vs. the user interface board? I'd like to get this fixed asap. The lights on the control panel selector seem to work just fine and don't disappear when I try to get ice or water. Does the user interface board control other things as well?
