Whirlpool washer LSR8433KQ0 will fill and stop. Timer switch will continue to operate (slight ticking noise) and lid switch sounds like it works as well. Drum is full of water, how do I troubleshoot/fix - do I have to drain?

The first thing I would check is the lid switch.

Open the control panel, remove the lid switch plug and bypass the lid switch.

If the washer will work - replace the lid switch.

- New lid switch and step by step instructions on how to replace the lid switch: Part number: AP3100003
Part number: AP3100003

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSR8433KQ0
