Hi,
My Kenmore stove top has 2 issues.

1. The bottom right dual burner turns on for 20 seconds, then it turns off. At this point it will not turn back on unless I wait 10-15 minutes.

2. The red light is always on

I just replaced the dual element switch thinking it was the problem, but the problem still persists. Any ideas for next steps and testing what the issue may be?

Thanks

Hi.

The model number you posted doesn't come up, please check and re post.
Does the "red light" means the indicator on/off light or the hot surface light?
Does your appliance made for USA or Canada?
At this point without all the info I think that the hi-limit sensor at the element is bad.

The model # is correct, but I googled it by dropping a few of the last digits and came up with this. Looks like the one, except I have 4 burners.

USA

Based on the info supplied - do you still think it's the hi-limit sensor? Can the hi-limit sensor be obtained separately or is it part of the element?
Simon.

Hi.

Yes, I think it's the limiter. It's not available without the element.

Thank you for your response. Are there any tests I can perform to verify that the limiter / element is the issue before buying the part?

Thanks

Hi.

You already replaced the infinite switch. There nothing ells left but the element.
