Icemaker isn't working.

Original issue - shorting V and L would not give water. Confirmed the pipe was clear, no freezing etc. Ordered a new inlet valve, installed and V and L work - when shorted they will cause water to flow into the ice maker. Brilliant

The current problem - the ice maker won't "request" water when it's running a cycle. I shorted T and H and it completed a full cycle but did NOT open the water valve to get water. Did another cycle - same issue. The fingers go round fine, the metal bar goes up then down and the gear does the full cycle. I think the thermostat part is fine as if I manually fill it by shorting V and L and come back later the ice has popped out - then no more.

I can only get water into the unit If I manually short V and L.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
