We have a Frigidaire Laundry Center (top load) purchased from Sears at the end of 2002. The model number is 417.92702200
The machine went through the wash cycle fine (agitates, etc). When it started to enter the spin cycle, it was making a clicking, ticking noise and the washer was spinning but at a very low speed.
We had a problem in the past with a clog in the area of the drain pump and thought that it may be plugged again and therefore not allowing the machine to get up to speed to spin the water out. Unfortunately, we did not find a clog. (We did not notice any burning smell).
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you.

Ok, I can think of four possibilities here 1. Transmission problems. Not likely, lets leave that last in case we do not find any other suspect. 2. Belt is not tight. Take a look and see if it has correct tension. 3. Machine not draining completely, and water in the tub is slowing it down. Check to see if the pump is working correclty. 4. Bad tub bearing. This is my main suspect because they fail so often on these machines. Here is the service manual, and would try to determine if this is the problem, and if so, replace it with the kit. http://frigidaireservicetips.com/pdfs/488_3.pdf
