I am having a problem replaceing the belt to an Amana LWA50AW. The issue is the plastic pump that is connected top the pulley motor. How do I take this pump off in order to replace the belt?

The pump is screwed to the motor . You should be able to remove the screws and the pump.

Here is the service manual with some diagrams and pictures that may help you.
