The GE washer that I have will sometimes not start when the start button is pushed, or if it does start it will stop when filling up the tub. Other times it will stop during agitation or during the rinse cycle. When it stops I can push the start button and it will start back up. If it is re-started during the agitation cycle, it starts back at the beginning. If it is re-started during the rinse cycle it will start back at the beginning of the rinse cycle. Any help will be helpful.

Ignore Feisty's comments.
Your problem is probably a bad motor AP3205861 To confirm, you will need a meter to check things.
