i had a problem with the dryer not heating. I have replaced the igniter, flame detector and lastly the clothes dryer gas Valve w10337269. The last part seemed to fix the problem except that sometimes (about every fifth load) it does not ignite and the clothes and exhaust smell like gas. There is no gas leak that I can detect. Could I have received a defective part or is there something else that could be wrong

Hi.
There is the chance it's a defective part. Please provide complete and correct model number so we can check the part number.
Simon.
