Hello fridge gurus,

I hope someone can help with this. We have a Maytag side-by-side. Model #MZD2663KES.

Looks like the unit will try to fill my ice tray again after water has already been dispensed to make ice and ice is frozen. Naturally, since the ice is already frozen the "new water" overflows all over the freezer making for a nice icicle display. The tray will flip and drop the ice but by then the water from the last attempt has already frozen and the excess water that had accumulated at the top of the water tray is now an ice dam and more water overflows everywhere.

Usually we get about 2-3 cycle of "normal" ice making procedure before this happens but not always. It's quite a mess.

Any ideas on why this is happening?
